Overcame the impact of the epidemic, the NJT ML3 project, New Jersey Transit, successfully passed the owner's first inspection under the unremitting efforts of the project team on October 13, 2021.
This project was launched in December 2019 with a base order of 113 vehicles (55 power cars and 58 trailers), and a total order of 886 vehicles (122 power cars and 764 trailers). The vehicles for NJT ML3 project are provided by Bombardier Multilevel platform, which is another key project for King in the North American market after the New York Subway and the San Francisco Express.
King has made many innovations for the air conditioners of this project in design. For instance, the cabinet air conditioner for the power car has realized in-car maintenance for every part and component, which improve the maintainability of the unit; And replacement of the conventional electrical protection parts with the current transducer for control greatly reduces the cost of air conditioning units.
This is the first project on FAI after the merger of Alstom and Bombarder. It has successfully passed the first article inspection and accumulated valuable experience for the subsequent projects.
